Dr Daniel Lancini

About Dr Lancini

Dr Daniel Lancini grew up in Brisbane, and undertook his medical schooling at the University of Queensland with an Academic Excellence Scholarship, graduating in 2014 with first class honours.

He then trained as a specialist Cardiologist with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), working throughout Queensland including the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) and the Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH).

He subsequently completed over 2 years of subspecialty training in cardiac electrophysiology at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Canada. During this time he gained experience in all aspects of heart rhythm care, including implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators, and the ablation of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias.

Dr Lancini has a keen interest in medical research, and was awarded a PhD in 2024 from the University of Queensland for his work on the drivers and clinical impact of atrial fibrillation, particularly amongst unique hospital-based subpopulations. His research has been published in peer-reviewed international cardiology journals, and presented at international heart rhythm conferences.

Dr Lancini consults with Queensland Cardiology at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside (SVPHN) and Northlakes. He operates out of SVPHN and The Wesley Hospital.

In addition to his private practice, Dr Lancini is a senior medical officer in cardiac electrophysiology at the RBWH. He also contributes to cardiology outreach throughout rural Queensland via Heart of Australia.

He prioritises comprehensive patient-centred care, with clear and prompt communication with patients and colleagues.
